The CHF Story

California Housing Foundation (CHF), formed in 1998, is a not-for-profit support organization for the California Regional Centers.  The foundation was the idea of former IRC Executive Directors Verlin Wooley and Mary Lynn Clark.  Since 1998, CHF has developed more than 70 single-family homes that now serve as residences for persons with developmental disabilities.  One of the founding Trustees, Drew Gagner, still serves faithfully on the Board of CHF.

In 2009, with the support of DDS, CHF also developed a 200,000+ square foot office complex that is home to the Inland Regional Center.

The mission of CHF is to provide quality services and programs designed to encourage and enable developmentally disabled persons achieve their highest possible level of personal independence, choice, and productivity.

To fulfill this mission, we are creating a permanent stock of homes that are of excellent quality, in safe neighborhoods, and operated by care providers selected by the Regional Centers.  The homes are well-maintained to ensure good neighbor relations.
